6'4" 270 lbs. born 5/19/54 in Fort Sill, Oklahoma Southwest High School (Macon, Georgia) University of Georgia Buccaneers 1976-1985. Wore number 79 (76-78) and 50 (79-85). Drafted in the fifth round of the 1976 draft. Played in 126 games and started 104, second most in team history at the time of his retirement. He is the only man who played in each of Tampa Bay's first 10 seasons. One of essentially three centers in the first quarter century of the Buccaneers existence (Randy Grimes [1985-90] and Tony Mayberry [1991-99] were the other two). Started every snap but one (due to equipment repair) in 1978 and 1979. Team offensive captain during the 1979 playoff run. Named All-NFC Center following the 1979 season.
